Day 1
Airport shuttle pickup service to Sayulita where you will be checked into your comfortable and private accommodations.This evening will be free to explore the town and enjoy some of the local cuisine.
Day 2
Your surf coach will arrive at your accommodations at 9AM. Our first stop will be at the Alquimista Restaurant where you will receive a free coffee or juice compliments of Variant Surf Co.. You have the option at this time to purchase a great breakfast. Our surf classes begin with explaining surfing safety, terminology, etiquette, ocean currents, tides and all things relating to actually understanding what you will be physically trying to accomplish once in the water. Entering the ocean, you will receive a 2-hour surf lesson with your surf coach. Once we begin our return to Sayulita you will be given the option to stop at a local surf bar and restaurant called KM5 for drinks, delicious food and amazing atmosphere. It is a perfect ending to a perfect day.
Day 3
9AM pickup with morning breakfast stop to receive your complimentary coffee or juice and then continuing on with our surf trip and lesson. After surfing, you will have the option of going to one of the area's hidden gems for a beach bonfire at sunset.
Day 4
Our driver will pick you up at your accommodations 3 hours before your scheduled departure time for airport drop-off.

Day 1

This is a day to rest and receive your complimentary professional in-house sports massage. The rest of the day is open and free to explore Sayulita.

2PM Pickup from your accommodation for your afternoon surfing trip and lesson until sunset.
Day 6
2PM Pickup from your accommodation for another amazing sunset session. This day, we will be joined by a professional,
in-ocean photographer to capture your experience and progress. Once we begin our return to Sayulita we will stop at a local surf bar and restaurant called KM5 for drinks, delicious food and amazing atmosphere. It is a perfect ending to a perfect day!
Day 7

ACCOMMODATIONS
Our accommodations are private, individual apartments just a 10-minute walk from the central plaza and main beach area of Sayulita. All accommodations are fully furnished with small kitchen areas, basic cooking supplies, small refrigerators, stove, kitchen and bathroom sink, private bathroom, clean towels, hot water, good WiFi, queen size beds and air conditioning. Drinking water is also provided. The property is well-lit, safe, gated and surrounded by a security fence, has many outside tables and chairs with umbrellas and even a large palapa roof area for doing yoga, balance board training, eating or working.

Daily SURF Trips and Lessons
Variant Surf Co. offers daily surf trips and instructional classes from beginner to intermediate level surfers. Our surf classes begin by explaining surfing safety, terminology, etiquette, ocean currents, tides and all things relating to understanding what you will be physically trying to accomplish once in the water. Our spectacular retreat accommodations offers a true hacienda-style setting, with artisanal handcrafted décor, surrounded by a terraced tropical garden which is a two-minute walk to the almost private beach in Litibu. We offer a large swimming pool for cooling down, practicing duck diving or breathing techniques, and hammocks under the palm trees for naps and reading. There are five luxurious suites (2 or 3 guests per room depending on number of attendees), each with a private bath, air conditioning, WiFi and spectacular ocean views. The spacious, furnished verandas are perfect for our yoga classes and offer a billiards table and foosball table offering a relaxing setting to enjoy sunsets, working online, and enjoying nature at its best.
About us
Variant Surf Co. was originally created in 2013 as the Chillum Surf House in Sayulita, Nayarit México. Chillum was a collaboration of a surf and adventure shop, accommodations, sushi restaurant, and bar, all in one location. In 2022, the original brick and mortar location was closed permanently and Variant Surf Co. was created.
We have learned how to better and more specifically cater to our guest's individual wants and needs. We now offer a unique approach when it comes to surf vacation packages and guided trips. Instead of having the storefront open to walk-ins, we now offer customized bookings for individuals or groups only. This allows us to focus our attention on the guests and create a more personal experience.
